Tulip trees are vigorous large deciduous trees with beautifully shaped distinctive glossy four-lobed leaves turning butter yellow and coppery colours in Autumn. In early summer semi-mature specimens produce exquisite tulip-shaped flowers of yellow-green with an orange flare at the base followed by single-winged seeds. Liriodendron can put on good growth in a season.

Description
Tulip trees are vigorous large deciduous trees with beautifully shaped glossy four-lobed leaves with an unusual straight top. The leaves turn a gorgeous butter yellow and coppery in Autumn. In early summer semi-mature specimens produce exquisite tulip-shaped flowers of yellow-green with an orange flare at the base. Followed by single-winged seeds, not dissimilar to a cone. Liriodendron tulipifera is helpful to wildlife and has good pollution tolerance.
