Moonlight is a classic white flowering musk rose. Created in 1913, it is as popular now as it was then.
Abundant sprays of blossom and wonderful autumn hips give interest through most of the year. Medium sized, semi-double flowers with golden stamens in a contrast to the pale white petals bloom vigorously with the most delicious musk fragrance drifting through the garden.
Moonlight grows as a cascading shrub with dark green leaves. It grows well in a pot but can trained as a climber or as beautiful cover over an arch or pergola. It can also be grown as a pillar rose so offers great versatility and pleasure.
A wild-life friendly rose, Moonlight does not need too much fussing over although it prefers warm climates and needs some protection in severe winters. Plant in a protected area with full sun and moist well drained soil. It can be pruned to keep height and spread in check.
Position: Full sun
Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil
Flowering Season: Repeat flowering
Ultimate Height & Spread: 1.75 metres x 1.2 metres
The tree is watered before being carefully packed by one of our experienced staff on site. It comes in a cardboard box lined with straw. (We try to use as much recycling material as possible) The box is addressed to the customer or a specified name and address and sent out overnight delivery to arrive on requested dates.
Please note the size of the tree that you are ordering, as our trees are provided for our clients to plant themselves, which may appear at a small size rather than the fully grown tree as shown in the photos. To find out more information, please visit our Delivery & Returns page.
