    Slow to medium growth but worth the wait. Osmanthus burkwoodii likes full sun or semi-shade in all aspects exposed or sheltered. Plant in well-drained soil. Chalk, Clay, Loam or Sand.

    Osmanthus is not recommended for cold areas such as North East England and colder parts of Scotland.

    Garden care: Minimal pruning is required. Remove misplaced, dead, or diseased branches in late spring and apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant.
