Description
Pink Perfection is a delightful tree, with showy flowers in spring. The leaves open bronze turning bright green in summer with pretty orange and red foliage in autumn. A small to medium deciduous tree with a compact bushy crown of ascending branches, it is much admired for its profusion of double pink blossom which hang in clusters in late spring.
The Little Pink Perfection cultivar grows to a much smaller height of 2m x 2m in ten years and will give you the effect of the Pink Perfection but for much smaller spaces. It is also suitable for a pot.
Flowering cherries like full sun and moderately fertile soil with a south, west, east or north facing aspect. It will grow in both a sheltered and fairly exposed position and is fairly low maintenance. It can be planted on well-drained chalk, clay, loam and sand soil. Prune in mid-summer if silver leaf is a problem.
