The Scots Pine is a much-loved evergreen conifer with a straight trunk and an attractive flaky orange-brown bark. Pyramidal when young with the head flattening as it ages Scots Pines makes a popular specimen tree. Grey-green needles are borne and bunched in pairs and can be up to 7cm long. The seed-bearing cones that appear in autumn on both male and female trees often remain on the tree for years. Of moderate growth, Scots Pine like sun, will grow in most soils and can be planted in exposed or sheltered aspects. Pinus sylvestris is low maintenance and suitable for planting in coastal, wildlife, and native plantings.

Please note the size of the tree that you are ordering, as our trees are provided for our clients to plant themselves, which may appear at a small size rather than the fully grown tree as shown in the photos. To find out more information, please visit our Delivery & Returns page.
