Known as the Christmas Berry, Photinia Red Robin is an evergreen, shrub like tree with bushy habit with glossy leaves. The leaves are bright red when young, changing to a darker green with age. Small sparse creamy white flowers in April/May are followed by red berries. Often found in urban gardens as they do not involve much upkeep, growing in most soils, Photinia Red Robin is fully hardy and made great hedges.

Description

Photinias being evergreen and fairly fast growing make an excellent hedge. Light prune to tidy the shape although the shrub/tree will respond well to heavy pruning if a particular shape, height or spread is required.
