Description

Leaves of blue grey remain on the tree all year and have a lovely aromatic foliage often used in decorative arrangements. The new creamy bark changes to grey and reddish brown and shreds each year in autumn. Frost hardy, they require full sun, well drained soil and shelter from strong cold winds. Eucalyptus can be cut back hard in spring to slow growth. An attractive tree they have little to offer our wildlife.

Plant and stake the tree when small and young to give the roots a chance to establish themselves. A medium tree reaching heights of 12m/40ft or more it can be kept to a smaller size by pruning in early spring. They can grow larger so do be careful where the tree is planted.
