Description

Pink Perfection is one of the most ornamental of the Crab Apples with a profusion of dainty pale pink doubled flowers. One is engulfed with the sweet fragrance of the tree dressed in her finest party frock in the spring. In summer the dark green foliage makes a dense leafy canopy when the abundant blossom is followed by fresh deep green leaves which turn a pretty yellow in autumn.

A perfect tree for a small to medium garden. It is a haven for wildlife, from pollinating insects in spring, to birds who feast on the crab apples in autumn.

Malus Pink Perfection is self-fertile and tolerant of pollution making it an asset in towns and cities. All Crab apple trees will thrive in city gardens, to please them do give them a sunny position to encourage the best display of blossom. Very accommodating, they are happy in most soil types including clay. When planting, incorporate well-rotten compost into planting hole. Remember to stake firmly. Light pruning in winter, removing any dead or diseased branches.

An added asset is they are generally a good pollinator for domestic apples which is very useful when space is a factor.
