The Royal Oak is an iconic symbol of England and for good reason. This magnificent native tree can live for over 600 years so will give pleasure across generations. It has lovely distinct-shaped lobed leaves. The Oak grows little green acorns which appear in summer and turn a golden brown in autumn. These little acorn cups are beloved by children and have been traditionally in play. Suitable for large gardens and parkland; it is a slow grower with a wonderful history.
“A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit”.
Fully hardy, the Oak grows best in sun or semi-shade and likes deep well-drained soil.
Height and Spread at Maturity: 20+ metres x 10+m

The tree is watered before being carefully packed by one of our experienced staff on site. It comes in a cardboard box lined with straw. (We try to use as much recycling material as possible) The box is addressed to the customer or a specified name and address and sent out overnight delivery to arrive on requested dates.
Please note the size of the tree that you are ordering, as our trees are provided for our clients to plant themselves, which may appear at a small size rather than the fully grown tree as shown in the photos. To find out more information, please visit our Delivery & Returns page.
