Description

A deciduous fastigiate tree grown mainly for its beautiful flowers which blossom in April. The leaves are greenish bronze then dark green followed by glowing autumn colour of red and orange. Cherries are fully hardy and need full sunshine and will grow in all but waterlogged soil.

 

A low maintenance tree, cherries need very little pruning, mainly to cut out any diseased or dead wood. Prune in mid-summer if silver leaf is a problem. They do like a good weed, mulch and compost in spring. A small tree and suitable for most gardens. Bees benefit from the flowers.

Delivery & Returns

The tree is watered before being carefully packed by one of our experienced staff on site. It comes in a cardboard box lined with straw. (We try to use as much recycling material as possible) The box is addressed to the customer or a specified name and address and sent out overnight delivery to arrive on requested dates.

Please note the size of the tree that you are ordering, as our trees are provided for our clients to plant themselves, which may appear at a small size rather than the fully grown tree as shown in the photos.

  • An excellent tree with the most beautiful flowering. I bought this for my small front gardne, indeed, people now do not want to enter the house becasue they want to stay outside looking at the wonderful cherry blossom! Excellent for small, tight spaces, will grow in almost any type of soil and so far, low maintenance too! A must buy in my humble opinion.
