Description
Acer Drummondii is an excellent specimen tree for all but small gardens with the variegated foliage making it a wonderful feature of seasonal interest. This Norway Maple tree is a hardy robust tree growing best in chalk, clay, loam, and sand. Plant in moist well-drained acid to alkaline or neutral soil in sun or partial shade with a north, south, east or west aspect. This maple will tolerate pollution and some drought.
DID YOU KNOW: Lots of variegated trees can reverse? Reversion is when a branch of the tree starts to grow without variegation. In this instance, the drummondii leaf would change to pure green without the cream edge. If this happens remove these leaves or if it continues, remove small branches that have reverted.
