    The Reine de Violette is a strongly-fragrant, thorn-light rose with violet blooms that fade to lilac with age. It flowers repeatedly over the summer. A large shrub, it thrives in most soils with light pruning.

    Description

    A charming old rose with full double flowers of a soft velvety beautiful violet fading to lilac as it ages, with a grey green foliage and few thorns.  Blooming all summer with a strong fragrance, Reine de Violette is a largish shrub, which will grow in most soils and benefits from a light prune after the first flowering to encourage repeat flowering.
