Description

The Scots Pine is a much-loved evergreen conifer with a straight trunk and an attractive flaky orange-brown bark. Pyramidal when young with the head flattening as it ages Scots Pines makes a  popular specimen tree. Grey-green needles are borne and bunched in pairs and can be up to 7cm long. The seed-bearing cones that appear in autumn on both male and female trees often remain on the tree for years.
