Native Hedgerow Mix – British Bare Root Hedging Whips (Sold by the Metre)

Create a beautiful, wildlife-friendly boundary with our Native Hedgerow Mix, a carefully chosen selection of traditional British bare root hedging whips.

The mix includes Hawthorn, Hazel, Hornbeam, Crab Apple, Wild Cherry, Blackthorn, Dog Rose, Guelder Rose, Spindle and Field Maple, providing seasonal blossom, foliage, berries, hips and autumn colour. Once established, it creates a dense, natural-looking hedge offering valuable food and shelter for birds, bees and other wildlife.

Pack size and planting

We recommend planting five hedging whips per metre, which is how our packs are sold. Simply order the number of metres required for your hedge.

Each pack contains a pre-selected mixture, made up predominantly of Hawthorn or Hazel, with the other native varieties included to provide interest and diversity.

If you would prefer a different balance of plants, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss the available options. We can also add Holly, Honeysuckle or Blackberry for an additional cost—please contact us for a quotation.

Our Native Hedgerow Mix is available to pre-order for the bare root planting season. Bare root orders will be prepared and dispatched in the order in which they are received, so we recommend ordering early—particularly for larger quantities.
