Add a splash of colour to the garden with Cherry Plum. Pale pink, five-petalled blossom appears in spring against young reddish leaves, while the foliage deepens to rich purple as the season unfolds. Small plum-like fruits may follow in summer.
This hardy, deciduous tree has a rounded crown and can make a striking standalone feature or be used in a hedge. Give it a sunny position and fertile, well-drained soil, avoiding ground that becomes waterlogged or very dry.
