Description

In Remembrance of War, The naming of the Peace Rose was in 1945 after the devastation of the Second World War. But we think the name and this rose a fitting remembrance to be planted to remember those who died or suffered from the tragedy of the First World War.

The Peace rose, formally Rosa ‘Madame A. Meilland’, is a well-known and successful garden rose. By 1992, over one hundred million plants of this hybrid tea had been sold. The cultivar has large flowers of a light yellow to cream color, slightly flushed at the petal edges with crimson-pink. It is hardy and vigorous and relatively resistant to disease, making it popular in gardens.

Delivery & Returns

The tree is watered before being carefully packed by one of our experienced staff on site. It comes in a cardboard box lined with straw. (We try to use as much recycling material as possible) The box is addressed to the customer or a specified name and address and sent out overnight delivery to arrive on requested dates.

Please note the size of the tree that you are ordering, as our trees are provided for our clients to plant themselves, which may appear at a small size rather than the fully grown tree as shown in the photos.

  • I bought this Peace Rose, when my mother sadly passed away last year. I was heart broken & missing her everyday. I planted in a very large pot. And I cannot express what joy and comfort these roses give me. The fragrance the beauty of the rose itself is Stunning with the colours. I smile everytime I look out the window or when I’m near . Peace is the perfect name for this Rose, I would highly recommend as you will not be disappointed. And both parents were members of the Royal British legion. So this was certainly a must for me.
