An award winning small deciduous magnolia with a rounded habit. Known for its consistent and reliable performance, attractive appearance and wonderful flowers. Fast growing, generally healthy and hardy with the flower buds often appearing earlier than other cultivars.
Plant in a sunny sheltered position. South, West and East facing is best to keep the buds safe from frost. Suitable for most gardens and can be kept in a large pot for some years. Magnolias are happy in clay, sand and loam soil, with a preference for slightly acid soil. Water well in dry weather.
Minimal pruning required. Best in late winter/early spring, although do not prune when freezing. Prune the wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework. Some minor prune in summer/autumn can be done to prevent the sap bleeding.
The tree is watered before being carefully packed by one of our experienced staff on site. It comes in a cardboard box lined with straw. (We try to use as much recycling material as possible) The box is addressed to the customer or a specified name and address and sent out overnight delivery to arrive on requested dates.
Please note the size of the tree that you are ordering, as our trees are provided for our clients to plant themselves, which may appear at a small size rather than the fully grown tree as shown in the photos. To find out more information, please visit our Delivery & Returns page.
