Magnolia Denudate ‘Festirose’ is a spreading tree with a strong network of branches which allows for lovely blooms. These bring much pleasure on our dark, cold days.

Plant in a sunny sheltered position. South, West and East facing is best to keep the buds safe from frost. Suitable for most gardens. Magnolias are happy in clay, sand and loam soil with a preference for slightly acidic soil. Water well in dry weather.

Minimal pruning required. Best in late winter/early spring. Do not prune when freezing. Prune the wayward or crossing brances to maintain a healthy framework. Some minor pruning in summer/autumn can be done to prevent the sap bleeding.
