Herefordshire Russet is noted for its abundant cropping that ripens in October. The apples are small to medium fruit with a golden russet skin and a delicious rich aromatic flavour, similar to a Cox. Good for juicing too. Easy to grow, very hardy, and disease resistant.
A well-spurred tree, well-shaped and fairly vigorous. Pretty as well as productive, Herefordshire Russet apple trees are available on two different rootstocks with one able to be grown in a large pot on a patio. History: Despite its name, Hereford Russet is a modern variety bred by Hugh Ermen in Kent in 2002. Parentage Cox’s Orange Pippin x Golden Delicious.

The tree is watered before being carefully packed by one of our experienced staff on site. It comes in a cardboard box lined with straw. (We try to use as much recycling material as possible) The box is addressed to the customer or a specified name and address and sent out overnight delivery to arrive on requested dates.
