This famous variety was originally introduced from the continent in the 18th century. This small self- fertile tree has white blossom tinged with pink, very early in spring before the leaves emerge. Pale yellow fruit with an orange blush and delicious orange red juicy flesh. Very juicy with an exquisite flavour. An apricot tree can be trained as an espalier.
Soil should not be too wet or heavy. Frost hardy, for extra protection plant in a sheltered spot or against a wall to protect from spring frost and cold winds.
